Posted: 11-02-2009 The total amount of funding for road-related expenditure by the Australian, state, territory and local governments in 2006–07 was $12.0 billion. This amount includes donations from the non-public sector. Between 2000-01 and 2006-07, total road-related expenditure increased by an average of 8.9 per cent per year in nominal terms. This paper provides details of funding sources and trends.
